DESCRIPTION:7TH CONFERENCE ON MAINTENANCE IN ELECTRIC POWER SECTOR\nIn the energy transition\, the objectives\, strategies\, actions and pitfalls are based on the growing importance of electricity as the backbone of the process. The road to a zero-emission power sector is a long one\, fraught with contingencies and complications. It can only be achieved with a great deal of expert and scientific work\, innovation\, new business models and more. But we must not forget that the system we have is working very well and that\, despite the expected transformation\, we need to keep it in balance and in the best possible “shape” at all times. \nTherefore\, one of the key activities in the energy sector\, and in particular in the electricity sector\, is the quality\, technologically advanced and cost-effective maintenance of power systems\, equipment and installations. Our biennial maintenance conferences are dedicated to this important area\, which is always somewhere on the periphery of the professional agenda in the electricity sector. This is the seventh in a row\, which means that it has become a tradition\, and this is all the more important as similar conferences are not often found either here or in our wider region. We therefore decided that the conference should address and attract experts from the wider international community working in the field of maintenance. Maintenance is based on a professional approach to systematic observation\, event statistics\, the gradual introduction of new technological methods and\, above all\, the exchange of experience. This is why the biennial conference organised by CIGRE – CIRED focuses on presenting practical and validated methods of work which\, by transferring knowledge to others\, can become a guide for successful maintenance strategies and policies. \nYou are cordially invited to the 7th Conference on Maintenance in the Electric Power sector\, where the latest national and international trends and practices in the maintenance of power installations\, facilities and equipment will be presented.
