CONTENT OF THE WORKSHOP
In today’s world, cybersecurity of power systems represents an important area, as the energy sector is becoming increasingly digitalized. This brings new opportunities for energy companies but also challenges in ensuring the security of digital systems. Cyberattacks, data theft, denial of access, and unauthorized control over energy systems were almost unimaginable a decade ago, but today, these are just some of the challenges energy companies face daily. At the single-day workshop entitled “Cybersecurity of power systems: New frontiers”, you will learn how companies in the Slovenian and international energy sector respond to the challenges of ensuring cybersecurity. The speakers will present:
- practical experiences in detecting and defending against cyberattacks,
- state-of-the-art approaches to protecting information infrastructure,
- cyber threats they encounter,
- the impacts of cyberattacks on power systems, and
- regulations evolving in the field of energy system cybersecurity.
WHERE AND WHEN WILL THE WORKSHOP TAKE PLACE?
The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Kristalna palača (BTC), Ljubljana. The workshop will start at 8:30 AM.
