100TH ANNIVERSARY OF BIRTH OF PROF. DR. MARJAN PLAPER

We have sucessfully presented the event entitled “More grid” at the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of prof. dr. Marjan Plaper, the leading developer of the integration of our power system into the Western European interconnection.

Many great contributions were made at the event, that show us the history of electrical grid development in Slovenia. One of the key figures in this development was prof. dr. Papler, who played a crucial role in our bright future.

• Professor Plaper as a pedagogue, researcher and thinker will be presented by Dr. Max Babuder and Silvo Balant
• How did the integration of the UCPTE into the European electricity interconnection take place 17 years before the independence of Slovenia and the role of Professor Plaper? will be presented by Vekoslav Korošec
• The current state of the Slovenian Electricity Transmission and Challenges of the Future will be presented by a representative of ELES
• The transition of energy to new sources and the challenges of the electric power system will be presented byProf.Dr. Ferdinand Gubina

Moderator of the event is Marko Hrast, president od CIGRE Slovenija.

The organizers of the meeting are the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana, the Electrical Engineering Association of Slovenia and the Slovenian Association CIGRE-CIRED.
